9/26/2018 0 Comments Photography InspirationFor my first photo week assignment, I am focusing on taking photos of animals. While creating these images I also want to focus capturing the personality and life of the animal. Here are so examples of photos I am taking inspiration from.
In this assignment, I attempt to demonstrate the visual effects of a changing aperture size and shutter speed. I must convey the depth of field changes when adjusting aperture size, and also creating photos showing motion blur and frozen motion when shutter speed is altered. APerture & it's influence with depth of fieldAs seen above, when there is an increase in the size of an aperture, then the greater the depth of field shown in the photo. A large aperture creates a smaller depth of field, and a smaller aperture give an increased depth of field. Shutter speed & motion blurAs seen above, the slower the shutter speed the more motion blur seen. The compensation with aperture is not constant throughout these photos but it is obviously seen that an increase in shutter speed produced a clear, stop motion photo. On the other hand, a photo with a slow shutter speed allows for motion blur.

These elements were: rule of thirds, texture, pattern, depth of field, symmetry, lines, framing, balance, perspective, color, and space. The purpose of this assignment was for me to demonstrate that I can effectively use purposeful composition in my photography. My interests & hobbies include: competitive volleyball, photography (obviously), eating good food, and being the best human being I can be in this word. I am in this class for the sole purpose of needing an art credit for graduation, but I have a lot of experience with photography. I've shot many weddings and big time events under my aunt's free lance photography business. I am also capable of developing old school film in the dark room, however, digital photography is my method of choice. I have had lots of experience with recording technology starting in middle school when I took two years of multimedia courses. I love photography and I signed up for this class to get credit for something I already do in my free time, and it gives me a good excuse to learn more about the dinosaur camera that was handed down to me recently. |
